1) Starr loves the ocean but doesn’t know how to swim, so it’s always a game of life or death when she goes to the beach.
-
2) Growing up, she was always expected to have some of the best grades in the class.
-
3) After it rained, she used to go and find the worms on the sidewalk and put them back in the grass so they didn’t dry up.
-
4) Her favorite color is green, and she has had green highlights multiple times.
-
5) Starr would rather sit in quiet, dimly lit rooms all day than in bright areas.
The Lexington home wasn’t even a home. It was a mansion with way too much room to ever feel like home. The light walls always made it feel cold, and waking up to the cold marble floors was hell. Starr hated it. not to say that she wasn’t grateful, though. She felt so lucky to have the money, the mansion, and the useless space, but she didn’t see the need for them. There was Maeve (the oldest), Starr (the siblings' favorite), Cameron (the only boy), and Athena (the baby). Growing up, Starr was always closest to Athena because they were into the same things. like playing in the garden until dark and catching ants in cups to take and show Maeve, who hated any and all bugs. Cameron was the smartest of the four. He had to be so that he could be in charge of the family business, and the girls didn’t have to have jobs.Michelle and Flint Lexington were businesspeople. always have been and always will be. From what Starr knows, her parents have a business that always involves random people that she and her siblings have never met coming in and out of the home. and after they left, they never came back. ever. One time, one of the mysterious people brought in his daughter. She was just like her father. wearing a fancy dress and never speaking unless spoken to. She even had fancy shoes that sounded like Michelle's when she walked across the cold floors. That was the first and last time Starr saw someone bring a child, and that’s the same day she decided she didn't want to be like them. She wanted to go out and travel the world, get dirty, and not have to care about what people she never met thought about her. She wanted out of the Lexington family.
